Where can I get a battery for nforce 2 board?

Re-built a mates pc as he has been travelling for a year or so, build went fine but the date and time keeps going back to sometime in 2004 after every reboot?

Also I can't run windows update I just get an error (haven't got the code to hand atm as I'm at work)

I think the bios battery could be dead, can I get them from watch makers or places like that? Never had to buy one before :confused:

Yeah a jewellers should have them. Some electrical retailers too. I think Boots stock them as well.

Most supermarkets stock them and some of the larger newsagents as well.

CR2032 is the one you need. Should fix the problems you,ve described above.

Lol 'Boots' well I never, thanks Cob I'll whip the old one out and take it with me!

Does the issues stated above sound like it could be the bios battery to you mate?

This is one old machine and as I said was left sitting there doing nothing for well over a year?

Well a dead battery would certainly cause the date to revert back.

At only a few quid it's certainly worth buying a new one to check.

Yeah just ordered 2 of the bay for £2.30 delivered, I'm down Southampton way working atm and won't be back til Tuesday night so that will save me going to the shops
