where do wild birds go to die?

There was a thing on Radio 5 yesterday with Richard Bacon how almost no animals in the wild die of old age.

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies. And whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first, they must catch you, digger, listener, runner. Prince with a swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

Well most of the seagulls in Brighton seem to enjoy dying on or around my works roof terrace. We had one on a nearby neighbouring roof that we enjoyed watching decay over a few weeks.

Tis now Skelator-gull.
