where do wild birds go to die?

There was a thing on Radio 5 yesterday with Richard Bacon how almost no animals in the wild die of old age.

i havent ever seen a dead bird lying there, but i have seen a couple that look liked christopher lee at the baftas.

Well most of the seagulls in Brighton seem to enjoy dying on or around my works roof terrace. We had one on a nearby neighbouring roof that we enjoyed watching decay over a few weeks.
