I thought we were due an early release in November? :(

I'm so looking forward to this, god knows why, there are plenty of things already like it on the net but for some reason I'm excited about this

Just want something to use my PS3 for, for 2 months it's just been a upscaling dvd player, the games out at the moment are all balls

Any ideas when either the beta ends if it hasnt already and we may get a release?

Nothings been confirmed as far as I know, but most places seem to list it as a Q2 release, but I am sure that is very much subject to change judging by the wait we have already had. Just hope it lives upto the expectation
 
GDC in feb has more info including a time roadmap detailing the open beta, and full release. The open Beta is supposed to start in the spring with a full release in the summer, but it will be made more clear at GDC.

Can't think of anymore. I am looking forward to what home offers, My girlfriend is looking forward to the more social side of the game. haha, Social, But yeah I guess it will have an almost social aspect.

I'm looking forward to see how the trophies will be implemented

Do you not like games then?

All I have done for the last 2 months is play quality games each and every night, its a GREAT time to own a PS3.

Each to there own though. Would love Home to get a move on though, I'm guessing a September release to link with LBP.

I'm still not 100% on how comparing trophies and the like would work. If it's even doable, But that's definitely looking good.

Erm can you please tell me about these games? :confused:

After Heavenly Sword, the only game I've properly enjoyed was FIFA 08, but got bored of that in the end.

There is nothing out for it, COD4 and Assasins Creed I have on other platforms as well as GH3.

I tried Warhawk but that was just a bit of a 1 week wonder for me

Played the release games and Ninja Gaiden to death

So until a few months time, the PS3 for me is nothing but a DVD player.
 
I doubt home will keep you busy for much longer than any of those games did, looks pretty cool and all that, but once the novelty wears off then it looks rather lame to me.

Uncharted is decent if you're after a game to play.

Other than that, though, nothing's been particularly outstanding I agree. Even Ratchett & Clank wasn't that great.

well just because you chose to play them on other platforms, doesn't mean there aren't games. What about Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted?

If you don't have a 360 then there are plenty of titles to keep you going. Even if you do own a 360 though there's enough exclusives starting to come through to keep busy with. Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, GT5P etc.

I know, if you only own a PS3 then there are games out worth playing, but in terms of exclusives, very few. That will change of course in the coming months

Unchartered I'm not sure about, and Ratchet and Clank was quite good I must admit, just havent got round to buying it yet

Inoshishi enjoys these on his PS3, as do many others.

Not everyone has both consoles.

You do, and you've chosen to buy 2 games that are just as good on PS3 for the 360. If you'd done things the other way around, You'd have 2 equally good games on the PS3.

Not saying you made a mistake, You didn't. Just pointing out, the PS3 definitely has games for it.

Warhawk is another good one, ninja Gaiden is another good one, Heavenly sword is another good one, R&C is good and so is uncharted, RFOM and Motorstorm are other good ones(and Launch) Tekken is amazing online fun. If you don't enjoy those, Chances are you'll end up playing your 360 more.

Doesn't matter terribly does it? If you really need to play it, buy some of the cross platform games for the PS3, As the new ones, are starting to look excellent. Don't go buying older cross platform games though :p

Try Tekken honest, If you like the old game anyways. As the online Tekken is brilliant.
 
I wouldn't worry about it Steedie, the last game I bought on the PS3 before importing Ratchet and Clank was Virtua Fighter 5 in April.
I get my games on Xbox360 because I have a lot of friends on Xbox Live and I prefer the pad and I seem to get a bit of harassment because I thought Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword and Warhawk were rubbish, but Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is a pretty solid game and definitely worth a play if you haven't.
