I am very happy with my old MOTO G4 Plus but I managed to damage the screen with MIG weld splatter and now the battery is tired and needs careful watching. I doubt a new battery and screen are at all cost effective, so I am looking to buy a new phone. I have simple tastes and needs. A biggish screen, a loud ring tone, decent sound quality, reliability and good battery life. I admit little knowledge of these devices, although I am electronically and RF savvy. I am leaning towards a MOTO G8 Power.
A sensible choice? Can I transfer everything from the G4 Plus to this device easily so it's effectively a clone of my current phone? What do I need to accomplish this at home? Can I get a leather book type case for the G8 Power? I think it used a C type USB power lead, I take it my existing power bank that has (I think) a micro USB connector at the phone end that fits the G4 Plus will just need a new lead with the right C type at one end? same for the car charger that has a separate lead?
If this sounds a good choice where is best to buy one in the UK, not necessarily at the very best price, I would also like to balance price with potential support if it's a duffer or goes wrong under warranty.
