I've got an Aussy friend staying with me over Xmas, and to stop him getting too homesick I'd like to buy him one of those disposable BBQs :) But where would one get such a gift at this time of year? Have checked the local big supermarket, Wilkos, etc. No luck, although it entertained the assistants somewhat!

So, anyone seen any about?

You know, one thing that I found out when I went to Oz, they are terrible at BBQ's.
In most of the dry states they don't BBQ because they are responsible for forest fires, and instead have gas tanked hot plates. They're crap and dirty.

I wouldn't bother.

Tried wandering down to the petrol station ... bingo! He said he had a supply which he kept all year round 'in case of heat waves' :p

I like that. Resourceful :D

If the weather where you are is anything like where I am, you have more chance of scoring with the Queen than lighting it.
I suggest buying about 5 they are completely rubbish.

I was out the back in our Waitrose and I was shocked how small the 'store' is, just a load of the wire tall baskets and lorries delivering JIT

I doubt they would have had disposable pallets of BBQ's there wasn't the room
