Hi all,

Taking the mrs to the Aldwych theatre tomorrow and looking for some suggestions on where to eat nearby.

Im not too keen on italian, but anything else is ok. Not looking for anything too posh!

My vote goes to "Cafe Pacifico" on Langley Street, just across the street from Covent Garden tube.

It's mexican food (so similar to Wahaca, I suppose), just much better :) Much more of an original mexican cantina feel to the place, whereas Wahaca tends to be a little bit more modern and trendy (if that makes any sense).

anyone know of any good places to get ribs in the area?

Bodeans!!! it's in Soho, not too far. Not sure if the missus will like though

Also Belgo's (belgian restaurant) is always good, and they do an early deal for theatre goers.

Bodean's do epic ribs

Roadhouse maybe, though I can't vouch for the food.

TGI Friday's in Leicester Square isn't far away and you know what you get - it's not spectacular but is damn filling :p

5 minute cab? :p

Oh I found out today there's a TGIs on the Strand lol, learn something new every day - as I said before it's utterly standard, and in terms of coming into London it seems a bit of a shame - but it is (very) nearby and serves ribs heh.

Sophies steakhouse is worth a look, I think it's as good as gauchos but not as expensive. Nice for drinks to.

Wahaca is ok, but Mexican food is hard to get wrong given it's just some combo of meat, cheese, chili, peppers and flat bread.

Yup, look for the ones with the 'TAXI' sign lit up on the top, shove your arm out and they'll stop (hopefully :D)

In that area there will be tons, especially after a performance they'll be lining up :)
