Does anyone know where to report telephone scams? Possibly international. Yesterday a person pretending to be the CEO phoned up and managed to get put through to our financial manager, this person was very convincing and was demanding money to be transferred to an account in china. (CEO is French with broken English, this person was also French with broken English).
Throughout the numerous phone calls he was apparently insistent that this was very confidential and the CFO must not be informed of this.
After several phone calls of confusing, worrying conversation our financial manager eventually twigged that this must be someone trying to scam her, eventually he was caught out by supplying a duff answer to one of her questions.
Anyway we have the persons mobile number (after receiving texts), the local police station isn't interested, so who could we contact?
