Just a quick note. If you think you maybe breaking the rules, don't try and get around them. Either fully star them out or don't post their names at all.

No, you haven't. That wasn't my point. I'd have got your post edited if you were :) I was simply saying that if you think you might be crossing the line, don't cross it. Its safer ;) Disguising competitors implies that you know you shouldn't be posting them.

Back on topic. I need my debts paid off, £300 spare and a place willing to sell me a Wii in the next few weeks. Oh yeah, seems doable :(
 
OK point understood.

I think the least likely is getting somewhere to sell you a Wii on time for 8th Dec!

I'm going to go to Argos in town at dinner and get one Pre-ordered. they say they will deliver 2 working days after release :( its the most guaranteed i can find though *shrugs*
 
*If* I can get the money I'll be at my local Game way before it opens. On the 360 launch day last year they had like 4 machines to sell as well as the pre-orders. There is a chance.
 
Pre-ordered mine about a month or so ago and just rang them and they said I will be garunteed one on release :D

Just ordered mine from Argos, they've taken my money so presume they're fairly confident of delivery on the 8th. They were the most confident, so I ordered with them.
 
Just found a website that still doesn't have the wii up for pre-orders may have to keep an eye on it.

Don't want to meatiom it, don't want a ban or anything but its very popular site, but sells OS's and some electronics so can't name.

Didn't know if i could mention it but it was from HMV

I remember when they stopped taking orders for the 360 when they ran out so its worth taking a look at them

Anyone else got an email saying the same?
 
Right, first an apology:

This link contains an important announcement which mentions I believe 2 competitors. Seeing as I'm not linking directly too them, or that fact that it doesn't apply to everyone, or indeed that the article itself doesn't link to those competitors, I'm gonna take a chance.

IF the dons feel this is STILL a bad move, i.e., linking to a page that contains the 'word' of a competitor, even though the vast majority of links posted these days link to sites with rotating adverts so it's pot-luck at times, then I apologise and a polite request will see me remove the link.

Nope, nothing. Just an email confirming my order. Wish they'd tell me if I get mine on the 8th or not.
