So it turns out that the March release date for the 360 was never official and was just a rumour. I believe they are now saying that it will be released '2008'. I can't see any reason why they can't supply us with a firm date, it's been out in america for coming up to three months now.

Importing isn't an option either :(

I'd be happy with just the Solus edition, at least it would mean I'd get to play new tunes.

Better to wait with the problems with the guitar/drum is sorted out, theres been a lot of people with problems with theirs.

Definately. I was initially really annoyed how long we would have to wait to get this until i read how many problems there has been with the peripherals. I'd rather wait longer and get a faultless set of hardware than getting it now and having to send broken parts back

Without a doubt.

It's a quality control issue though, its not going to take a further 6 months to rectify.

Course it's an option, I imported mine.

Granted you could run into problems with hardware going wrong (I did, Im sending back the guitar today) but it's pretty much your only choice if you want to play the game any time soon, and it's worth it believe me :)

Importing is only an option if you have the PS3 or a US 360 :(

The guitaring is great, the songs are great, the drumming is actually pretty poor, i think partly because of the noise the drum makes when you hit it, i was really looking forward to the drums, but ended up just playing the guitar all the time, its also a pain in the neck to store the drums, especially if you have your kit setup somewhere like your living room, i think buying it again, if possilble, ill just buy the guitar and game.

The only problem i have with the drums is the noise they make, but then again, i do suppose they are drums lol
I personally don't care about the noise of the drums, i am more just worried my neighbours can hear it.

a quick question on this. Are all the peripherals wireless or do they connect via usb or something? even tho theres not enough usb on the 360 to support all goodies ?

Does the 360 guitar come with a dongle like the PS3 does? I dunno why the PS3 guitar has a dongle but it does.

360 guitar doesnt need a dongle cos it isnt wireless.

Reason the PS3 has one is because bluetooth isn't reliable enough for time critical operations.

The game is due out in Europe on the 14th of March (Unofficial though).
Like others have said so long as the hardware works fine when it is released then I don't care about the wait however it has been a stupidly long wait.

The drums make a pretty crappy plastic noise that's for sure... I bought some noise-reducing pads off the famous auction place, should get them soon :)
