Hi guys,

Dropping a few lbs and trying to build/prevention loss of LBM but also low-carbing atm. Is it possible to use whey as a meal replacement, so I could have it in between bfast and lunch, and also between lunch and dinner for 5 meals in total? Say 50g + water @ 200 cals per time?

In a word - yes! ;)

Could add some flax or similar "healthy" fat to promote fat burning and preserve the muscle.

Flax? Where can I buy that from?

Also, stupid question probably, but is it possible to eat too many eggs? My flatmate seems to think it is.. :o

You can buy ground flax seed from Tesco (thanks for the tip CW). Its on the whole foods section with the brown rice, cracked wheat (yum!) etc. in a gold vacuum pack, £5 for 450g.

I think the too many eggs comments is a reference to the amount of cholesterol in the yolk but *i think* recent research suggests the yolks might lower "bad" cholesterol. How many you eating?

Sweet, thanks for the tips guys.

My local Tesco don't seem to sell Flax but Holland and Barrett are selling the oil @ £10.99 for 500ml, which is pricey in comparison with MP but they doing 3 for 2 atm, so if I bought 3 it'd work out at 1.5l for £22 - is that a good deal or should I keep looking?

Did you look in the whole foods section?

I shop in a the Kensington Tesco (Oooooh aren't i posh :D) but it was in the same place as CW described and he shops in some run down part of manchester :p

LOL

Yeah I checked the oil, flour, and whole foods section with all the brown/wild rice, soya mince, etc - the bit swarmed by hippy vegan types - nothing, nadda, zip :(

I have eaten 6-8 at breakfast regularly while bulking. Eggs bad? Nonsense.
Quoted for truth. I eat 6 eggs a day wether I'm bulking or cutting.

The oil is poor I believe compared to the powder, can't remember exactly why though.
