Which 16GB RAM modules would you pick for Ryzen 3900X?

And why? The rule is they have to actually be readily available.

Brownie points for mentioning things like:
  • chip manufacturer
  • single or dual rank
  • number of slots populated

I have the following Corsair kit CMW64GX4M4C3200C16

This is 4 x 16GB Dual Rank DIMMS
All 4 slots are occupied on my X570 Taichi with a 3900X.

The chips on my kit are Micron-D
The kit works just fine when set to the XMP profile. No tweaking needed to get it to work. I've not many any further adjustments.

What speeds can you get to with 4x16gb. I couldn't get over 3000mhz with mine on the same board.

I get 3200MHz at C16 (the XMP Profile for the Ram) without any problem.

Which motherboard do you use? I know the X570 Taichi likes 4 Dimms due its T-topology layout as opposed to the daisy chain layout.

Same as you, X570 Taichi. Doesnt seem to like my Bdie much. Absolutely fine at 3600mhz with 2x16GB.

Could it be that you have a weak DIMM there?

Have you tried swapping out the DIMMs to see if there is one that doesn't clock as well?

Have to say I'm enormously impressed with the Micron-D on the Corsair sticks. I had almost worked myself up that I'd made a mistake by not going down the Bdie route, but the fact that I was able to just plug it in, set XMP and go was great.
