Mate is after a new monitor, I've got the S2716DG, but not sure if there's a different model of choice right now

No idea how good it is, but AOC are decent in general. As long as you think 24" is big enough.

I bought one recently. It's my first screen that's > 60hz and I really love it. I believe there's a cheaper VA version of it available (but personally I love IPS screens).
