The XJ, it's simply a much better looking car from any angle. The Mercedes isn't a particularly bad looking car but it's nowhere close to the Jaguar.

The Merc is more modern looking if slightly bland.

The Jag has more classic lines, but is a bit dated in compassion.

Obvious stated, let's lock it it up and move it on boys .

A Jaguar E-Type looks more dated than a Hyundai i10, I bet everyone still prefers the E-Type

Actually that rendition of Jag started life in 1997 and ran till 2003, so its the same era as those Mercs.

Difference is one is an icon and the other is just another German car

At the end of the day the Merc is just another plain old Merc driven by one of two people - if you feel like being stereotypical , whereas the Jag is more special.

See i know the secret, Jags have charisma, unlike our German friends, Jags might not have been the best performers or best handling cars over the years of the XJ since 1968, but they have got something special.

No other luxury car kept a resemblance to the last model like Jaguar did, and no other car had that magic carpet ride like Jaguar did.

When i get in my old blue beauty i dont feel short changed that i didnt take me Bentley, but i would if i was in an S class or a 7 series, different gravy all together, Jags have got charm thats priceless, you cant invent that that, or build it into a car.

This is the thing, everyone has an uncle or a dad with a Jag and people remember them.

Sadly uncle Bobby with his German thing, no one remembers those, thats because they aint got the magic Jag ingredient!
