Which car would you go for?

Ok im looking to get another car after my 306 developed some problems, and i need a change anyway.
Im considering an mr2 or a celica, im having trouble deciding on which to go for though, i have 2k to spend which is good because ive seen a few on autotrader for that or less.
Now because i dont know a lot about cars asking random questions will be pretty useless to me, so instead im going to ask you guys the question:

Would you go for a celica or an mr2 and why?
Id be gratefully for any reply, cheers.

Got an insurance quote though which i was hoping would put me off at least one of them. The celica came out less than what im paying atm, £85mo for the 306 and £80mo for the celica which was quite surprising! (thats with directline). The mr2 came out at £85mo. Decisons, decisions...
Just double checked my 306 and its coming out at 65.. gone down quite a bit within a year.
