Just reminiscing about the comics I used to read when I was younger.

My favourites were

Buster
Beezer
Oink!
2000AD
Beano/Dandy(were ok not great, loved the Bash Street Kids though)

as I got older it was more VIZ and the like lol

So what were your favourites?

Oh God, yes. More than the others. My favourites were:

Red Rackham's Treasure
The Seven Crystal Balls [quite dark for Tintin]
Red Sea Sharks
The Shooting Star
Tintin in Tibet
The Blue Lotus
The Black Island
Cigars of the Pharoah

Those are the ones I remember really liking.

Loved them all, but The Seven Crystal Balls and The Blue Lotus were my favourites :)

Got them all in CBR (pdf type comic format for the PC) on my computer (including the rare Africa/Russia ones), read them every now and again - amazing how much he put in there for adults. They're quite far from being childrens comics.

The Beano on a regular basis, used to buy a few other on occasion (Dandy, Topper etc.)

1 of us at work always buys Viz, can't get enough of the Drunken Bakers :p

Hmm, didn't read any comics. Skimming through some I could never see the attraction. Was The Beano supposed to be funny?

Warlord
Victor
Commando

"Actung! Spitfeur!"
"Raus! Raus!"

etc

Dunno if I'd class Tintin (and Asterix) as comics, as they weren't periodicals. Great books though.

Finally, Swindon
Blimey, I must be a different generation to you lot - I read "The Victor" for years and years (Gott in himmel, you English schwienhunt or whatever) and then one day I discovered the "Fantastic Four" and read that for ages - all binned now though

omg it's bringing it all back now - I had a substantial collection of Commando mags as well - much like "The Victor" only thicker and great for those long summer holidays when the time between Saturdays (the comic days) seemed to last for ever
