The company I work for explicitly deny users to connect to the internet on their corporate device via captive portals. Instead, users were provided with LINX8 tablets to connect to captive portals to gain internet access and then use the LINX tablet to share its WIFI connection to the corporate device.
The LINX8 devices are really flakey and often need restarts to get them working, or rebuilding, etc.
I'd like to replace the LINX8 devices with something else, but my google skills are failing. What do I need to look for to find out if a phone/tablet has the ability to share its WIFI connection (Note: I do not want them to share their 3G/4G mobile data connection).
I tried "Mobile phone dual channel wifi cards" and "twin channel wifi cards in mobile phones" but all the links seemed to talk about creating a Wireless hotspot to share the mobile data connection.
Can anyone advise?
