The Samsung SpinPoint F1 750GB is on special offer this week at £86.94 inc VAT as opposed to the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 750GB @ £102.21 inc VAT...both are very good HDDs, but for the price difference, I would go for the Samsung......
I can only echo what w3bbo has said but I would like to add that the Samsung F1 750gb model can now be had for £22 less than the equivalent Seagate model.
As an avid silent pc enthusiast I was keen to go for the Samsung F1 but ended up going for the Seagate instead (purely for performance reasons and the longer warranty). In all honesty, the Seagate isn't that much noisier (although I can hear it during the night when it's seeking).
EDIT: I wonder if the Samsung price drop points to a forthcoming release of the rest of their F1 range...hmmm.
