Which game is best out crysis & crysis warhead ??

Only played warhead, I was expecting a far cry esque experience where I could explore and complete the level using a variety of paths.

I was dissapointed because in warhead youre ferried along a certain path, it feels like a time crisis game where you can walk around.

Crysis is far more open, Warhead is far more directed (although far less directed than any of the CoD games :p)

Crysis is more epic, but Warhead condenses what made the original so good. It loses some of the freedom and the 'epic' feel, but if you loved the gameplay you'll love Warhead.

Crysis is a much better game, because it lets you take things at your own pace and gives you plenty of options. Warhead is more linear and you're constantly nagged to go here and there as quick as possible.

Warhead runs better, but only because the draw distance on foliage is abysmal by comparison to Crysis - lots of pop-in.

If you can pick up the original release of Crysis it has one other major advantage over Warhead - no DRM, just a disc check.

I've just played Crysis, and just started Warhead, so I'm in no position to say which is better. But I thoroughly enjoyed Crysis (apart from the dreadful VTOL level where winds randomly crash you into the ground), including the floating alien level. I'm also enjoying Warhead so far, it seems a slightly different experience - less exploring, more high octane action. I enjoy both kinds of games so no complaints here.

Think my crysis is a original release ;)

to be honest, they are both brilliant, though the original Crysis was the superior game, I think it looked better (not sure why) and it was a more complete experience, for the record I think the alien ship was one of the most eerie levels I have ever played in a game, playing through that in the dark 24" monitor with custom settings, could cut the atmosphere with a knife! had some great moments as well, as for soundtrack I think both games excelled in that respect, the awesome finale to the first game had an epic score as well don't forget!

however Warhead does have its point, the hovercraft sequence is just immense, the finale is one of the best I have played through personally, the graphics are again top notch however it runs better overall. Psycho is a better character, he seems deeper and you delve more into his personality than Nomad in the first game, wish they had of released another addon personally, based around Prophets experiences since I personally would love to know what happened to him on that island! :(

on a final note, you cannot get the best out of the game using the shoddy standard settings, HDR, SSAO, etc. all seriously improve the atmosphere of the game, lighting is cryengine2 strength and I don't think they did a great job of getting the best out of it, so experimentation is recommended! :D
