Which is better...?

Well, the Gigabyte is certainly a better spec, but only a 14 day warrenty (that can be verified)? Whether it is worth that risk is only up to you.

If I was spending £60 odd quid on a LGA775 board I would be expecting a full blown P45 with mash and gravy . . . . something like an ASUS P5Q-E! :)

Don't even consider a Barebone B-Grade Gigabyte P35 chipset for £60 notes heh! :p

My friend got one of the ASUS boards as a replacement to an EVGA that failed RMA cause of a cracked SATA socket
anyways, this board has been giving me some real issues with a Q9550 at stock. Probably needs a bunch more voltage tweaks but its more effort than Id like.

I'd see if there was more in the budget to go for a higher spec board. If not, my vote goes for the the Asus but only because I find them more user friendly.
