Using letters and numbers to name cars, or words?

For example - BMW like their numbering (520/530/M3, M5 etc), Ford like their names - like Fiesta, Cougar and Galaxy.

Can't make my mind up but I think the numbering is cooler.

I like names,

Countach
Diablo
Gallardo

are much nicer than if they used numbers imo.

Surely though its only the fact that when you say Gallardo you get an image of a supercar that makes it sound great.

I mean, there is nothing bad sounding about 'Ferrari F430' is there?

No its doesnt sound bad, just names sound "better" to me, maybe a bit more personal.
Metro imo sounds better than Rover 100.

I prefer numbers but i would like to see cars with name like :

The F74 Beast

or the E698 Tally Wacker

See now I like Integra, but - predictably - I would do, because it instantly makes me think of the car.

But if Honda called it the Honda 355R - now that would be too cool for school.
