Hello.
I am struggling to choose between Ryzen and Intel. Now leaning towards Intel and got a question. Seems easier to get just good Ram with 2600 and off we go wheres 3200MhZ is more costly and B-die lottery with it
From the B360/H370 the latter has better potential possibly but not fussed as b360 can OC a little (not looking at X as not need that) Will later on tinker with the CPU but initially will be more then enough for me at the stock speeds.
Ques are there any MB with good VRM section that are ITX?
From those 3 which one would be best fit andd has best VRM? I read good things about B450 from MSI but is the Intel one is as good? Options :
- https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asro...1151-ddr4-mini-itx-motherboard-mb-15z-ak.html
- https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...1151-ddr4-mini-itx-motherboard-mb-6bb-as.html
This will go either i5 8400-8500 or 8600K

B360, H370 are intel chipsets and neither allow overclocking.

This won't matter unless you get a 8600k and / or want to get and run ram faster than 2666mhz. In that case, you'll need to get a z370 board.

Oh well. Thought like in AMD mid range B360 allows so Intel should as well. After reading it it complicates all again :) and now Ryzen 2600 could be grabbed for £143 so temptation are even bigger...hate this roller coaster Intel/AMD/Intel/AMD. Might be back to red ship as thinking about OC maybe not straight...but would like to have that option MSI B450 then ...

Edit:Bite the bullet. MSI B450 + FLARE X + R5 2600 Comming

Sure thing, all working now ....initially was not smart enough and placed all connectors for power etc in to the usb :p as they were nice and close to the edge ...then found that they are in a not so good place by the left side of CPU
So all in all the parts were MSI B450I Itx, Evo 970 500GB, Crucial Mx500 500gb, 16 GB of Flare x (all I did switch the Auto off and set the voltage to 1.35 and selected 3200 and no his worked as a treat) and Zotac 1060 Mini and Coolermaster Liquid 240 (I know you said I don't need one but for £40 could not resist :p) oh and Gold + Riotoro 650W Enigma G2 ...
I had to manually take the fans lower as they were quite noisy ....and as well MB comes with only 2 fan connectors so extensions needed) Cable management take some time but doable as there is plenty of space at the back of the case. Had to buy one without the panel as that was the compromise I had to take after convincing my wife that I need new computer :p (been playing on Alienware Ranger with 970m for few years now but fancied a "normal" PC ...not have to shift AW....)

Prev link does not work .... not great but for me enough ....yesterday after session of gaming CPU 58-59 DEG with fans set very low (the back one barely goes)
