I’ve ordered an msi x570 tomahawk to go with a Ryzen 5600x but I’ve read some issues with the tomahawk and cpu.
I want to eventually run a 3070 hour and use a m.2 ssd. is the a problem with this mb/cpu combo or would the ASU’s rig strip B550-F gaming (wi-fi) be a better option?

It reviews as a good board. Perhaps there were issues with the bios needing to be updated to improve compatibility with the 5600x, if I remember my Gigabyte board had a bios update in December. i would suggest checking the bios version of the board that you receive to the latest on the MSI website

Chances are the board won't ship with a compatible Bios but the board does support USB Flash without a CPU so as long as you have a USB stick you should be OK.

If the main use is gaming with a 5600x and RTX 3070 then you don't really need a £200 motherboard as you're paying for features and a Vrm that won't be fully used, a B450/B550 under £120 would do the job fine and still deliver the same performance.

Literally had this headache for a while, from reading many posts went for the B550-F gaming and i have similar spec to you.

Just was not worth the extra coin for the x570.
