Looks that way; I think the only thing constraint is the 3rd PCIE slot and 5th M2 share lanes.
9800x3d is due around new year.

Ah, that's unfortunate!
I did mean my 9800 isn't due until the 30th! (Which is annoying as I have the motherboard and RAM sat waiting for it).
I did go for the MEG 870 Godlike, I have no real idea why other than I have the space for it, and I like the look of it.

Yeah, it is; BUT it's a pretty ridiculous build anyway and I should probably do a log when it all turns up (Shame I'll have to wait for a GPU upgrade but that should be a (fairly) easy swapout.
Its funny how much harder it is to pick a motherboard these days compared to my last build on Z87 (an age ago i know) - i dont even know what to use USBC 40GB for or why i would need it. I'm also looking for a board for the same CPU - to build early next year. Having a hard time deciding -other than looks I cant really see a reason to get anything more than B650E. Whats with all boards having wifi now?!?
And I got an email last night to say my CPU is on its way so I've ordered the Asus X670E.

Some of us are happy to use modern WiFi instead of LAN cables
Full bandwidth WiFi 7, though expensive, is very good.

jumped on the Asus TUF X870 for tomorrows big update so hoping that, coupled with a 9800x3d and 64gb of corsair dominator 6000mhz cl30 will give me a sizeable boost over the 5900x and 32gb 3600mhz klev bolt ram im running at the moment. Havent had to do this much motherboard research in a looooong time. so many new things to look out for since i last shopped around.

It's just arrived. I'll be fitting it tomorrow. It was ice cold so leaving it until tomorrow will let it warm through and so prevent any condensation issues.
The box looked like it had been opened but the board looks fine. No seal broken but the cardboard tab was slightly adrift. I'm guessing that someone did open the box to check that the board was inside.

It's not just a question of NICs. There's the switches too and those aren't that cheap.

Don't forget to add in the SFP adapters. Anyway, I have a pair of TP-Link ST1008 switches, so I'm well sorted. One in my study and one with my server and NAS.
