I'm in the market for a new one or two.

Currently using a cheapo Hisense (vBridge) media player, which runs everything (apart from Bluray ISO's ans some non-standard MKV's). Problem is the UI is very boring/standard and unorganised.

I don't fancy building an Htpc at the moment, so my requirements are :

- Nice UI (or at least be able to install a nice UI)
- Flawless searching/scrolling through UI (juddering of any kind is not an option)
- Preferably 3tb internal hardrive capability but will settle for 2tb
- USB connectivity for external harddrvies (at least 2)
- Play all the usual file formats (plus Bluray ISO)
- I doubt I'll be using wireless streaming

I did have a quick look around myself and Boxee seems to fit the bill, not 100% sure though.

Any suggestions please?

I have a NAS upstairs and a Western Digital Media player which works a treat.

Snap, works everytime for me, I use a qnap 419P+ with 4 x 2Tb drives stores all my music a shed load of films and I've still go tonnes of space. As for the WD player I can't fault it, there seem to have been regular ota updates, ok the UI won't set the world on fire but it's fine.

Boxee box for me, but it is double the cost of the WD, I love it though, gorgeous ui and can stream all the catch up from uk online tv, only thing is you need an external or a Nas to go with it. It literally play everything though and a 2 year old could work it, it's THAT simple
