which of these 2 Monitors would you guys recommend?

I saw the AOC and thought ugly bottom bezel. Saw the Asus thought nice until I noticed the glossy bezel. So I'm going to say get the AOC purely on the bezel. Don't buy if you play FPS games though it has a bad response.

The Asus one has too much spec, like they are desperate to sell it.

The response time is listed as being the same for both of them, and since they are both very likely to be using the same panel, if there is any difference in response time in practice, it's likely down to the overdrive calibration.

I wouldn't buy either though, they are both TN panels, both in a large size which will exacerbate TN's poor viewing angles, thus you will be seeing colour shifting even in the head on position with these displays unless you sit quite a long way off. The other issue is they are 1920x1080 ...on a 27" panel that's a large pixel pitch, which makes for a rather ugly display, especially for text when sitting close. I suppose it'd be a good idea if you have poor eyesight though, since everything displayed will be fairly large. Another thing to note is they both have rubbish stands, which matters if you aren't going to be using a sperate arm.

Much of a muchness really, cheap 27" panels are nothing to get excited about. I would spend the money on a quality display in a smaller size. There are some excellent 23" IPS panels around this price.

So which 27'' monitors would you guys recommend ..erm keeping the price down.

The response time on both are 2ms, so not sure why you listing that as a issue?

How much of a difference is there between the glass and non glass version of these Hazro HZ27WC 8-Bit 27
One has glass, the other doesn't. Yep that about sums it up.

Glass pro's:
Less likely to scratch when cleaning (not much of a pro)
Glass cons:
It's even more reflective, the monitor already is glossy. Adding a glassplate just adds reflections and weight.

Well that Hazro is certainly the one to go for if you want to do 27" 'properly' on a budget and that really is an unbelievably good price for a monitor with such a panel. Bear in mind the Dell and HP's with this panel cost around 660 pounds and the Apple display is more like 900 iirc.

As for the difference well from the pictures I've seen the glass one is like a mirror if there is a light source behind you, the none-gloss one isn't, although it still isn't matte like most desktop lcd's ...more like a notebook screen from what I hear.

There is no shortage of info on these forums about those Hazro's, there is a large thread all about them infact. And quite a few picutres floating around showing you as best a photo can what they are like.
