Which of these two for a HTPC?

4770 PowerColor HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card
need it to be quiet, cheap to run and be able to play some games on hd ready plasma.

If you in no hurry wait about a month and see what cheap low spec 5*** come out at least it should drop the price of the low end cards if you cannot wait 4770 is better.

Would the 4770 but fairly quiet for a HTPC?

In terms of performance, I would go for the 4770 but I doubt it'll be very quiet when you're playing games.

4770. its a lot quicker and the power usage is within a couple of watts of the 4670.

if i'm playing a game thats fine, it more when watching a movie .
