Which Racing Circuit's would you go to

All these are BTCC Tracks for 2008.

I am looking at going to as many as possible this year but going to have to miss some. Which ones would you go to and why?


Brands Hatch
Croft
Donington Park
Knockhill
Mondello Park
Oulton Park
Rockingham
Silverstone
Snetterton
Thruxton
 
I'm a big fan of Oulton Park, especially the uphill part leading upto the Pit Straight Corner, and the double Chicane at the bottom before the uphill section.. lovely little track..
 
Brands - Because it's Brands & always brings spectacular racing incidents.
Croft. Because i Love the circuit & play it on Rfactor in my Caterham :D
Donny. Know it like the back of my hand, Used to have mates there as Bike Instructors, mates have raced there & it's around 35 minutes from my house :cool:
Oulton park. Just because it's an Awesome circuit.
Thruxton. Another Awesome circuit.
 
Knockhill - choose the right spot and you'll see almost all of the track.

First lap into Duffus is always amazing... as is the hairpin.

Not so sure since the reprofiling of a couple of corners though...

Donington, Silverstone and Croft are great tracks. I live very close to Donington and an hour away from Silverstone. All worth a visit in my opinion. 3 very different races you will see as well.
 
Knockhill definatly unique circuit. Duffus really is an awesome drop, to drive it is just awesome, combine a super steep gradient and a near 90 degree bend, its soooo much fun.

brands is also one of the best.

i would ditch rockingham, its pretty boring.

Only been Brands Hatch and Thruxton for BTCC (been Silverstone for F1 though).

planning on Snetterton and Thruxton this year... maybe silverstone. all other tracks are out of reach really...

i am planning on those 3 as well. plus more. prolly gonig to miss 3 i think!

shame rockingham doesnt have camping closer :( but should still be good


why do you think rockingham will be boring??
 
I'd go for Brands out of the ones in that list. The feeling as you hit the bottom of paddock and then start going up to druids is amazing.

What about Cadwell? Probably my favourite circuit I've raced at in the UK.
 
Rockingham your too far away from the action, its not that challenging a circuit, and the paddocks etc were closed off with no chance to get near when i went.
 
Silverstone and Thruxton are quite close (2hrs and 1hr) so would prefer them. I've not been to Thruxton before though so wouldn't mind going. Shame they don't come to 'Combe - bit too small for them :(

i didnt say it will be boring, i just doubt we can get the time off (being sundays its a lot of money im missing out on).

and being "new" it most likely lacks "something". A bit like Bahrain and Malaysia, both great tracks but cant beat the likes of Spa, Monza...
 
I'd miss Mondello Park personally, because the BTCC don't race there any more!

Oulton Park is a nice circuit, as is Croft. I like Donnigton too. I'd love to get to Thruxton sometime but its 5 hrs drive :(
