Hi guys,

I'm torn between either the 8 Pack Ryzen 1600 and 1700 bundles. Plus, the added option of going for the same kit but with a 1700x CPU.

I'll not be taking the cooler option as I already have a water cooled system.

I'll be gaming at 2560x1600 with an AMD 390x, not looking at changing that for a while.

I also do some heavy excel work etc.

The 1600 bundle is just under £600, the 1700 just under £700 or around £740 if I go for a 1700X, all with Asus ROG Crosshair mobo and 16GB TeamGroup DDR4 at 3000MHz.

Any thoughts?

I went with the 1600 bundle as I plan to drop a zen+ in when they come out. It's a great bundle. If your just gaming then the 1600 or get the 1700 if your really need the extra 2 cores. Also if you don't need the cooler sell it as it's going for £35.

Neither, grab the 1600x (4Ghz) and overclock it higher yourself.

Ive built my son a 1600 system and I do wish I had of paid the extra 40£ for the 1600x now.

I cant get it past 3.85 with all cores/threads (on a B350m board) (which also misses the VBOOT option in the BIOS so I think that is the main reason I can't get the ram passsed 2667, so go for a 370 board)
