Which short term rolling contract?

3 do a £15 sim only contract with 300 minutes, 3000 texts, 2000 3 to 3 minutes and 1GB of data per month, and in my oppinion have the best overall 3G coverage. I guess it depends what part of the country your in though.

I work out in the sticks and 3 is the only network with a 3g signal, all the others are on gsm out here meaning crap data speeds.

I've just ordered this but the £10 a month version as I don't really make that many calls or texts but it still has the 1GB internet. 3 have signal a map which says I should be getting good 3g and Phone signal where I am. I will let you know how reliable it is when I get it.

What's your source for that information, the T&Cs I quoted earlier mentions a fair use policy but no where does it state that it's 500mb.

It must be or else it doesn't make sense.

As that 10 pound contract includes 500 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data.

The iPhone one is 15 pound per month includes 250 mins, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.

If the 10 pound one isn't 500mb and is more then it renders the latter one useless as both would work in any phone, really.

From the Tesco website FAQ:

Thanks guys :)

Why they don't just put that in the T&C's I do not know! Unfortunately it appears unlimited data isn't going to last forever and I believe data in America is quite expensive? Hopefully the UK isn't going that way.

Weirdly enough, my O2 account online still says I have unlimited data on my iPhone Simplicity 20 contract I'm using with my Desire even though I thought all their rolling contracts were changing to a FUP as of October?

£80 cashback at topcashback, after 3 months

Checking the affiliate accounts I can get access to, it does show that £10/£15 a month contracts attract a lower rate for rolling contracts, so I'd be a little cautious of that one, but you can't ever rule it out, as some affiliate services have differeing terms, It may be possible Topcashback have other terms in place, or just haven't put the restrictions up correctly.

If true, that's a stonking deal £80 on a £15 a month contract would net you £35 profit if you only kept it for 3 months!! Shame that T-Mobile show bad coverage at a lot of places I would need it..

The Unlimited thing is nothing but a scam and should be stopped. If you offer 500mb of data, come out and say that. 500mb is so far off unlimited it isnt even funny. It's like me saying you can have unlimited free petrol but actually meaning you can have 40 litres a month.

I'm not after Unlimited data because I know it doesnt exist. I'm after about a gig a month of data, as thats about what I need.

Seems GiffGaff is winning at the moment - £15 for 'unlimited' data, unlimited texts and 300 minutes.

Well i ordered a £15 a month rolling contract and that tracked fine. My account shows £80. It will however be 3 months till i recieve the cash according to the website.

T-mobile used to be really bad where i lived (at my parents, above 4 years ago). But now the 3G signal is excellent.

I ordered a payg sim to check the 3G signal at home, my parents, and my work place. As well as a few other places i would normally need to use 3G all were surprisingly very good, and should at some point get better once the merge with orange is complete.

That is good then!!! I've taken advantage of many a daft cashback scheme, so I never discount them, but have been stung with mis-info as well..

I have a T-Mobile blackspot for 3G at my house, and surrounding areas, which is a total shame, but if they do start using Oranges 3G network and offer the same deals, I'll be in there!

That is true, I don't know how companies get away with it!
Fine, they tell you the limit but its still not unlimited. God this annoys me SO much!

My Giffgaff SIM turned up today.

Really think for my needs its unbeatable at the moment. I'll probably end up grabbing a proper contract again at some point, so waiting around on GiffGaff for 15 quid a month with the freedom to instantly port to whichever of the main networks has a decent deal is attractive.

I have a TG01 and I'm not impressed with the Orange reception in Plymouth. It goes out for days at a time sometimes for internet. (not happened this month however). So not sure if giffGaff + orange will be any good for you.

Well done on getting your contract terminated.

GiffGaff uses O2, not Orange.

I suspect your problem is the TG01, probably the worst Smartphone in the world. My father has one and it takes all his willpower every day to avoid simply throwing it in the nearest bin :D

This is for Fox or anyone else who's interested. I'm also on the lookout and found the following:

Vodafone offer 600mins, unlimited texts and 1GB at 20 pound pm (12mnth contract) - which works out at 240 overall. Then with Quidco you get 115 pound cashback = 125 / 12 = 10.40 pm. That is an incredible deal (downside is you fix yourself for twelve months).

There's also deal as above but with 500mb on a 30 day rolling contract which works out at 16.25 pm after the 45 pound cash back. (Not really for Fox, as you'll end up with the same issue).
