Going out for an evening meal tonight. The choices are:

Harvester
Beefeater
Hungry Horse

and we are very hungry!

Which is the best?

Thanks
:)

Thanks. Should have said, not really restricted to those 3 so if there any others that have chains everywhere then will consider those.

:)

Jesus , surely they has to be a better local steak house then them. I spent 5 years on road and all off the generic food chains , maybe cafe rouge as an exception are very dire

As we've had really bad service at Harvesters in the past, though the food wasn't too bad, and if they are supposed to be the best of the bunch we decided not to go for steak so we went to Nandos and had a glorified KFC instead!

:)

I love the steaks at cafe rouge... truly delicious!

Have Cafe Rouge got a chain? It rings a bell. I went to Birmingham earlier this year to the Bullring and the street inbetween the two shopping center sections there was a cafe, pretty sure it was called Rouge.

Me and my missus had the rib steak each. Simply mouthwatering.

Probably completely different place but hey ho.

Having been forced into my local Hungry Horse recently (which I have to say was full Customers split 50/50 locals and business types) I feel able to comment on this

I had the 20oz steak (rare) and I have to admit it was cooked perfectly and tasted divine.Cost £9.99

Not my usual style of eatery but I may have to go back to confirm the quality.

An exception, perhaps but I will take good food where I can find it.

Same experience here. The first time I ate at a Hungry Horse pub (although I might have done so without realising in the past :p) was at the OcUK RR meet and I have to say the steak was very good considering the price.
