My friendly local council are currently in the process of tearing up the majority of my route to work, and subsequently I am enjoying the pleasure of removing their gunk from the sides of my car when washing.
I've been using a non specific t&g remover for the last few years that I bought as a 5l bulk buy. This was easily finished off with todays wash, so I'm looking for recommendations. Ideally I'd prefer something that I can decant into a spray bottle and not something like an Autoglym t&g remover.

lol, pretty sure they do a spray bottle version too, it's a clear bottle and the stuff is green. I think it's one of their trade products.

I'll see what I can find.

Seal and wax the paint well enough and you shouldn't need anything more than a decent car shampoo to get tar off.

I had thought the same myself. The car was waxed with 476s about two weeks ago and is washed with megs gold class weekly. I havent had any problems in the past, its just the sheer quantity that seems to be accumulating thats the problem.

Not if you do a lot of miles, Ive been doing 3k a month recently, and Collinite doesnt seem to be lasting that long now, might be time for a move to Sealants and what nots.

I tend to use petrol to remove anything that won't come off with a normal wash - sticker residue, paint etc. Does the trick and does no damage to the paintwork whatsoever
