Greetings. First post, long time browser.
I'm in the market for a new 32" HD TV. So far i have managed to narrow down my choices to the following models, and would like your opinions on them. We have:

Toshiba 32C3030
and
Toshiba 32WLT66

They both appear similar -to me anyway, and i have read some reviews but wondered if anyone on these forums had any experience with these models. Your input is much appreciated. Budget of around £550

My matye has just got the 3030 and hes well happy with it. I personally think its got a lovely picture quality straight out of the box and the 2 hdmi sockets make it well useful.

Well the c3030db is supposed to be the updated version of the WLT66 ironing out it's problems. Hence why the 66 is a discontinued tv bar all the remaining stock.

Thanks for the response. I don't suppose anyone has any screenshots of these in action? I've now added the Samsung LE32R74BDX and LE32R74BD into the equation, and struggling which to spend my money on. I just want to make sure i make the right decision. ;)

If you're looking at samsung screens as well, I'd hang fire a bit and wait till the new sammys become more available. They look REAL good and have some nice specs like 8000:1 contrast ratio, three hdmi sockets to name two. Check out the R88 and M87 series, thats them.

Thanks guys. Just took the plunge and ordered a Toshiba 32C3030. Didn't want to end up being part of Samsung panel lottery. Heard pretty good things about the Toshiba. Should also be getting an Xbox360 soon to enjoy the HD goodness.

there is also the model Toshiba 32WLT68 or summin with 100hz is costs a lot more?

If anyone knows what is 100mhz for and is it really important?

I am planning to buy either the Toshiba 32C3030/Toshiba 32WLT66 (not 100hz)

They say its so you can watch football properly etc

I am planning to use the tv to watch dvd's, normal tv and play nintendo wii on it

it 100hz needed?

thanks a lot :D

It's similar to the 100Hz technology on CRT TVs, the incoming video is analysed to look at the motion between one frame and the next and an extra frame is inserted estimating how it would look halfway between both. Each frame in the new stream is then displayed for half the time it normally would.

It's meant to be most useful with fast moving video where you still need to see the detail. I have the 37C303d and while I hardly ever watch football I haven't found myself disappointed with the standard display, also not sure how well it'd work with games consoles and if it might induce lag by having to buffer and analyse the video stream instead of just showing it.

Well - it arrived on friday morning. Having no HD equipment to test it on, my impressions are based on the digital freeview. And going from a 28" CRT to this thing is immense! I opened the box and couldn't believe the size of it. It was easy to setup and i didnt have to change anything.
Very impressed with the quality of picture from Freeview, the picture is very crisp and colourful - quite enjoyed watching Match of the Day on it. Can anyone recommend a good HD DVD player...or an upscaling one?

Cambridge audio DVD89. Loadsa connectivity, great pic quality, upscales well, good sound quality, looks nice (I've got two of them, one silver, one black), quality peice of kit if you ask me.

Got mine today, not as crisp as i expected although not tryed messing with any settings as of yet. All that's connected atm is the aerial. Do you have yours on widescreen, 14:9 or what? On widescreen it's a little blurry and all, lower it's crisper but still not brilliant.
