Whine when on the motorway.

Wow, a Vauxhall Corsa isn't as comfortable or accomplished on a motorway as a larger and more powerful car. Who'd have thunk it?!

In other news, Gary Glitter fools around with kids and water is wet.

Can anyone help the guy with his problem?

Does the pitch of the whine change with the speed? If so then it's likely something in the transmission. I had a VW that had a slight whine for a while. Dealer said it was fine, 6 weeks later the diff blew a 3 inch hole through the gearbox casing when it disintegrated!

That it does, i only get the whine when going at the same speed, if i put the foot down i goes away. :(

Come on guys we all know the Corsa is rubbish but this isn't a my new car or what car thread. He just wants help with a technical issue. No wonder we get hassle for speaking our mind, this thread gives the get offended squad perfect ammo.

Just lol at the fabia driver thinking its like a Passat on the motorway tho.

I didn't say "they're not nearly as nice as a big saloon". If I wanted another saloon I'd have bought one. I didn't. The Skoda just as capable if not more at munching motorway miles than a saloon a couple of feet longer. Unsurprisingly it's as quiet and comfortable as say a VW Passat with the same running gear.

Don't kid your self, it isn't.

The vRS is not as quiet, or as comfortable as a Passat on a motorway. I should know as I drove mine for nearly 4 years. For motorway miles munching I'd rather have a Passat and that's saying something!

Well its my first car, so its cheap to insure, buy and run (i hardly use it tbh)

Just out the garage today, have to drop it back off tomowrrow morning, they said it was the rear drivers side wheel bearing, so they have ordered me a replacement drum, and he also found out that my front suspension spring is fractured and should be replaced  £120 in total for the parts and labour and should be ready for me tomowrrow afternoon. :)

Cheers all.
