Im finding it much better personally, I dont have to sit through poor performances and me shouting at stupid mistakes our squad make. Then to see them go behind or to be up winning first half and go to sleep the second.

Its like a giant weight has been lifted and I can enjoy watching it without any added stress!

Been some brilliant games already and a lot more memorable than most england performances

Loving it, although I haven't been supporting England since World Cup 2002. The England team of now and the past few years just has way too many arrogant and incredibly unlikable players. It's fun to watch them flop miserably because it's quite clear the majority think they're the business.

There's patriotic support then there's being a pain in the ass.

The thing that finally tipped it for me was those stupid little flags that people stuck on their cars. And Mark Lawrenson almost crying if we didn't score every twenty seconds. And the belief that the players we have can play in a collective unit in a way that we can win a competition.

But when England fails Wenger gets the blame. Yea....

Friendlies during the domestic season is very annoying. I understand qualifiers - but not friendlies. They don't mean anything if the best sides report their players injured for a week or so ;).

I mean they're the reasons why I don't really support England - though in all honesty I equally don't like other countries playing. I'm pleased RvP is doing well for Holland, though it's annoying that he's not coming home asap as I'd rather have him injury free and rested before next season.

This is exactly my position for the last decade or so. THe biggest reason for liking England games is its so enjoyable watching us play so badly and losing when 98% of the country is convinced we will win every game easily.

The cup isn't better without England, football wise, yes, maybe. But frankly, I miss the massive overhyping of England game that makes it so funny when we suck :p

ITs been Austria, Switzerland and some more random teams providing entertaining play though. France, Italy, some German play theres a distinct lack of real quality passing football you'd really expect to see, while Spain and Holland are the teams most playing as a team and their passing and interplay has been fantastic, great to watch.

hopefully its a good sign he's over his injury, finally........................finally :p

Bit sad that Milan seem so intent on Adebayour, and we have no plans to sell him for 30mil, and grab Villa for a similar amount, great business there WEnger :(

EDIT:_ I also guess I'll eat some humble pie in regards to Van Horse Face, to be fair at Man U he never showed the dropping deep interplay side of his game, never had to but the last 2 games he's worked harder than any single game at Man U ever. Going to Real Madrid has really improved his overall game. Does he play in the main upfront position for Real as the way he's playing now would say he plays deeper like Rooney, though I thought he was furthest forward for Real. Either way, very impressed with his workrate.

It is great not to have the commentators comparing everything to England and to have them at least relatively neutral. The Arrogance is gone, and hopefully it'll stop the overrating of the England squad once and for all.

I'm sorry but nothing beats the buildup to an England match in a big tournament. The tournament is good (daily football is always good), but it would be better if we were there.

Mind you after a season like the one we've just had its nice to relax watching a game rather than being on edge constantly.

I don't really care about the England team anyway (much rather my club was successful).

I don't know where patriotism comes into it either. How many England football supporters support the English hockey/netball/curling etc. teams.

Totally understand where you are coming from. I've found the tournament quite enjoyable, It's quite nice to be generally neutral but have a slight preference to one team.
I got very excited at Holland winning last night, I actually shouted out loud a couple of times and surprised myself :D

lol same as me it was edge of seat stuff!

The other thing I dislike about england and this goes for all english sports is the media  Things get hyped upto such stupid levels and things just go so OTT then we crash and burn its like the world has ended I hate that.
