Who gets sacked First Roy or Carlo?

After the comments he made in the press about aiming for 4th spot. Carlo is gone mate. Do you think Roman wants to hear guff like that from is manager.

You need to understand that Roman only cares about the champions league. As long as Chelsea finish in the top 4 and win the CL then Ancelotti as safe as houses. Also who will replace him. Abramovich spent near enough 2 seasons waiting for Ancelotti to leave Milan.

At Villa, Houllier picks up the tab for disinvestment. Never mind that he won two French league titles with Lyon after his Treble at Liverpool in 2001, or that Villa are in financial retreat post-Martin O'Neill. The right response is enslavement to the rolling ticker of results, then panic.

We were laughing about this at work on Tuesday after Mangini got the sack at the Cleveland Browns. O'Neil goes after being refused anymore funds and 4-5 months later Lerner comes out and says that money is no object in the search for a new head coach and player talent at the Browns.

Kelly had one great game iirc, then people complained he wasn't used, he got another game and wasn't even close to as good the second time around.

We've clearly watched different games then as imo Kelly has had more than 1 great game.

THe problem is, Torres at his worst is better than the other strikers, and while its all good saying he could try other things, theres nothing to suggest Kelly and Pacheco aren't worse than the current players.

Trouble with that logic though is that if thats the case then there is no point in Liverpool ever having any young players, because if you arent going to give the young players a run out because theres nothing to suggest they arent worse than current players, then they will never get the games and so never show what they are capable of. Might as well scratch every younger player off the books. In the meanwhile, why not pick Torres and Pacheco up front instead of repeatedly picking Torres/Ngog or Torres & Ngog. Why not give Shelvey a run in midfield instead of Poulsen or Lucas. Try different things, try some of these upcoming young players, stop simply picking the same players week in and out when by admission they arent performing.

There's a reason the big teams (I don't think I can say 'other big teams' at this point :p) only play sizable portions of their up-and-comings in the Carling Cup and similar, at the end of the day they lack the cohesion and experience to play even lower-end Premier League teams that are well-drilled.

Hodgson probably would want to bench Torres for a while, it's a common card in the managerial deck, but who's reliable enough to fill his effeminate Spanish boots?

Hope Ancelotti stays. He won the double last year for god's sake. Sure Chelsea are having a rough patch but when we're starting the likes of Ferriera, Kalou and Ramires it's hardly surprising. We just need a confidence boost and a few additions to the squad.

Any one else awaiting his defence and im sure his first line will be "But i needed more time and my own players etc"
He's already said that ;)

I am very sad not to have been able to put my stamp on the squad, to be given the time to bring new players into the club in this transfer window and to have been able to be part of the rebuilding process at Liverpool

Anyone know how long before Liverpool appoint a proper manager?

Im assuming that isn't an insult to Daglish.

But he is here to the summer as a caretaker role really, if he succeeds he may stay, if not, he will probably go and nothing tarnished with his reputation.

Although if he succeeds im not sure he will stay anyways.
