Who gets through their day caffeine free?

A lot of people think drinking lots of caffeine will alleviate fatigue, fact is, it does the opposite, it makes you more tired by exhausting your adrenals and all the minerals those bad boys sitting on top of your kidneys need to pump out those lovely feel good energy giving chemicals they produce, on top of that caffeine is a diuretic, further mineral loss.

Don't get me wrong I love coffee but that energy drink stuff is just dangerous.

Get to the root cause of your issues of being tired - maybe you have a virus you just can't shake, maybe you have some physical ailment such as a food intolerance (good shout that one), licorice root helps restore some adrenal function, its in most fruit tea, which is a tasty hot and caffeine free alternative :p

Haven't drunk a cup of coffee for well over a decade and the last time I had a cup of tea was probably 5+ years ago. Hot drinks just don't appeal to me at all.

I have the odd bottle of Pepsi every now and again though.

Currently on my second can of this:

It's actually not too bad.

Time for a drink as I'm off work on holiday at the moment, wife's left me to my own defences and I'm rapidly running out of clean clothes and cleans plates

I don't think that's true about the adrenal gland. The Endocrine Society says adrenal fatigue is a myth.

I will normally have between 4 and 8 coffees a day. I'm fairly dependant on caffeine, but I think more psychologically than anything else; when I am not stressed I will have 1 or 2 a day, mostly because I like the taste.

One cup of tea in the morning, that's all. Though, when I was doing teacher training and 12+ hour days starting from 7am, I did pick up a huge cup of coffee on my way in, mostly to kick my body intogear at that time of day, having spent the previous year doing evening pub work and sleeping til noon.

i dont drink a lot of energy drinks since an incident in which i only drank relentless all day whilst cycling and not eating all day, crashed about 10 miles from my house. never good, saying that i have the occasional can, but thats for the taste rather than the boost. i feel like i get my energy from food and exercise but i guess everyone is different

I like coffee too much to give up my caffeine! I don't like the taste of those energy drinks but I like a couple of really decent coffees a day.

After my final uni year I had a giant vein on my forehead you could see whenever I smiled. Spent the last 2 months of uni with a coffee machine in my room... I like the way 3 cups of coffee puts you on a mission like making lists and stomping outside as an army commander with list in hand ready to do stuff at 200mph. By the time you come down and feel half asleep you've done a lot of stuff which you wouldn't have done otherwise.

I never go a day without caffeine.

I only drink water or fruit smoothies, so I would guess that puts me in the caffeine free category.

This and caffiene upsets my tummy, used to like yagerbombs years ago, but gf banned me from them saying they made me loopy
Water for me at work, the water here tastes nice, i find it varie's on which county you are in.
