You tell retentions you are leaving when your contract ends, and keep rejecting what they offer you untill they offer something you like.

They rang me up three times between 3pm and 5pm on the day i cancelled and each time i turned them down.
This was in march.

My mate who is on orange ranf them up and told them if they could do the same deal for him he would switch and they did, so he has.
 
I'm trying to negotiate a contract at the mo..

Orange offer 650xnet Mins and 1100 Texts with Phone Insurance for £35ppm.
Vodaphone are offering 500xnet Mins and 500 Texts with Phone Insurance for £50ppm. But they are also offering stop the clock.

I get a free K800i with Orange but have to pay £30 with Vodaphone..
I'm already with Vodaphone.. and they say they can't do a better deal..

What do I do?
 
Went for Vodaphone..

Got Passport on so i can ring from abroad back here and just use my normal minutes..
Got stop the clock..
Didn't have to change my number..





However at the back of my head there is always a little voice telling me I just got reamed..
 
On o2

200mins, 100txt - £33 tarrif

Got it for £15 a month with £120 credit on a/c so 6 months free, w/ d500 (newest when i got it) and bluetooth set

I dont spend any extra and dont use up any of my minutes - i currently have 10 hours rolled over. The only reason they gave me this deal was at the time i really did want to stop my contract and they were being possibly taken over and so wanted to keep as many customers as poss. so they were doing some crazy deals iirc

Seems pretty obvious goto orange!

Nokia 6680, but that was going from the online 100 to the online 200 Sim Free upgrading early, however they let me keep the handset in the process.

I despise o2 though, really do due to many reasons I could list from pesonal experience all day. The service leaves a lot to be desired, therefore I feel there's a better network provider with a similar tariff I could look too, or does that seem a reasonable deal even with putting up with o2?

Hi A newbie round here,

Got a very old contract with o2 which ill not change it`s the old genie of peak tarrif 50mins a day of peak (only use my phone of peak so still perfect for me) 600 texts a months and unlimited wap the old standard wap downside to this no media messaging no gprs and no g3 but the line rental is only £10 a months and i think ive had this contract for almost 7 years or there about and i get a new phone every 12 months as well so not to bad.

had some guy ring me up the other day cause i was due an upgrade who asked if i would be interested in a deal he went on about this offer which i cant remmember what it was now dont think it was a bad deal compared to whats out on the market now and asked i bet this is better then your current deal my answer was no the guy seemed gob smacked and asked what i had so i toled him he hung up stright after that wonder why ;)
 
Last December I rang O2 to upgrade my phone. Threatened to leave an go to another provider. They gave me a new D600, 500 Xnetwork anytime minutes and 500 texts for £31 pm. I think thats a pretty good deal.
 
300 xnet mins and 500 texts and a xda mini s 20pm with o2 just yesterday.
they sent me 2 phones the other week when i got the g/f one and have now charged me for both so i new a had a backup contract if i threatened to leave. just gotta send the other back now
 
200mins / 1000 txts for £30 per month.
They were ment to be charging me back when i got the contract (Nov) for my W800, but they havnt yet? :confused:
