Just picked up my new ST2 in Panther Black which I ordered back in February. Pics to follow but it really is an immensely fun car and looks stunning.

It has the style pack which was a free option for the first batches of orders, no other options.

I am tempted to jump in an old ST for a bit after I sold my Civic due to company going bust, didn't want the risk of Honda prices/repairs if I didn't get sorted job wise, but I'm sorted now but on a bit less dosh so thinking about a Fiesta ST 2008ish age for 5k marker...

Went out in a mates with bits like cossie inlet, piper/miltek combo exhaust, induction, eibach springs etc and it wasn't too slow and handled/rode really well I have to say!

I need to re-read the thread for all the buying tips I asked for before!

My AC has decided to not work

Didn't work when I went to look at it before I bough it a year ago, they re-gassed it and it worked all summer, icy cold. Never really used it as you should over the winter though - maybe 2 or 3 times total. Think it just needs another re-gas and then using regular as it should be?

Regas it, most likely find it'll be absolutely fine

For it to lose all it's gas within a year it must have a leak.

Well it might not have lost all its gas, just enough for it to not work

Anyone know a good but cheap place in Stockport/Manchester to get it re-gassed and checked for leaks?

And last night he let me have a proper hoon on my own instead of being a passenger, have to say I really like how they drive, granted his is modded but if I could find a 185 mountune as low miles and new as poss for 5k I'd be very tempted indeed! Rode really well on eibachs IMO and handled pearler, so easy to jump in and give it death!

Just bought some Newman cams. With the Ford inlet how will it affect the torque? Will it move it higher up the rev range? What are the advantages and disadvantages for having the torque higher up the rev range?

When you put your foot down to overtake someone, you'll have more power because you'll be higher in the revs, especially in the ST on a motorway!

Still tempted by an old shape ST, I am wondering if 4k will actually be enough to net me a 2007 car on 60k or less but as mint as possible, thinking perhaps bog standard and keep it for 2/3 years and do the usual mods to...

Is 4k gonna be enough if I look at stuff up for up to £4500?

Should be, its just trying to find one! Shame its not this time next year! Mine fits your reqs perfectly, but I need it for atleast another year before i hopefully move onto an RS! :cool:
