Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

With my ST running 16's and 195/45 tyres, rainsport 2's are 52 quid or so on camskill, so I think I'll run those next :)

What are the best spark plugs to get for sensible money for the MK6 ST? Mine will be getting done next week so want the best for around the £40 marker :)

Hmm.. Maybe you guys have better roads then, even the M6 is littered with potholes on my daily commute. I like a sporty, firm ride but switching improved comfort for me.

Good price on the plugs there, cheers Overlag :) Any good sources generally you guys use for service parts or are euro car parts bits definitely decent enough quality?

Couldn't make it this year but next year my car should be as I want it so will do some shows with it :)

Couple of Q's for you guys. Been scratching my head what to do exhaust wise for a bit now. I'm just after a nice cat back for now. I've pretty much decided on a Piper backbox (3" outward rolled) and I am going to go to powerflow for them to make a non-res centre pipe for me as the Piper cat back is resonated only. They sound a LOT nicer without a resonated centre, much more hard edged and racy but still deeper and less raspy than milltek. So thats the deal. Question is, do I want a 2.5" bore centre pipe? Or 2.25" on these cars? Head says 2.5 but don't want to lose performance :)

Secondly... I have the Sony audio upgrade in mine, the Aux in is crap quality...is there any way of hooking up some kind of USB feature instead to this stereo? I.e. USB straight into the stereo and use a decent mp3 player or something? I am reluctant to change the head unit as it looks good in the dash and sound quality is good, but obviously I am now burning loads of mp3 CD's instead lol.

Ref my above post with the exhaust idea. I can get milltek centre pipes non res for 55 quid, 2.5" bore. Is this likely to mate to the piper back box? And sit properly without loads of modification? Or would powerflow doing their bit be the best option? :)

miltek and piper systems have different bores and lengths. IE a miltek CAT (or decat) section is longer than a Piper, which has the oposite effect on the center section which is longer on the piper.

Piper is extremely loud even with that center box, so i wouldnt run it without the center box imo. Great sound IMO (better than my mountune) just far too loud.

I don't think it'd be too loud, no more than a milltek non res. I may well have to get powerflow to do my centre pipe for me to mate everything up properly.

Only question now is, 2.25" or 2.5"? My guy I use occasionally is moaning he can't bend 2.5" so is only keen to work on 2.25"... bit annoying, but then again is there any gains to be had using 2.5" power wise? And would the bigger bore actually affect the sound considering no centre silencer?

The pipers with a centre silencer aren't quite edgy enough, so without it, I think/hope I'll get the sound I'm after :)

One of my friends has a piper cat back (resonated centre) and a decat and it's not too loud to me, sounds good, quite deep but with a hard edge to the tone without being as raspy as a non res milltek. The mountune cat back itself is nice sounding to be fair and better value than most at £330 new/delivered!

lol a friend has said setup and it sounds good. But for some reason, assuming vids are accurate enough, with a non res centre they sound a bit more buzzy and racy so I'd love to do that - all the custom places don't wanna do me a centre pipe on it's own or want to charge a fortune to do it in 2.5" so really don't know if I should stick to 2.25" or if it's too small?

2.25 is fine. Almost all exhausts are that size for the FiestaST, except the Miltek big bore which was made for supercharged setups.
