Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

I'm on 16's at the mo with 195/45's.

I just think I'm getting old now and every car I've had has been modded, lowered etc. It'd be nice to go over speed bumps at more than 5mph lol and not have a jittery ride thanks to our crap roads in Stoke.

Don't get me wrong, when I'm in the mood the Fiesta is awesome, if a bit slow compared to my Type R but I love how it handles, it's proper neutral and sticks brill, I think it is better than my Type R in that respect. But it's rare I give it any with my daily drives.

At the mo I think I could sell it for more than I paid and it's pretty tempting to give it a go.

Gave the car a good clean yesterday, before today's Ford meet at Squires Cafe.

This is how it looked at 6:30 this morning :)

Winner :D

I had 48.2 on my way from Stoke to Blackpool the other week, daaaammmnnn hard to maintain though as soon as I got off the motorway lol.

When you mentioned Blackpool something clicked. I remember seeing your car there now the 'YOP' stuck in my head, and I didn't know why, now I remembered :) :D

Yeah I was there :) I got there quite late, not sure if I can remember your motor but there were plenty of nice Fiestas when I rolled in :) Then the rain happened lol.

Excuse the dodgy picture but it's so so so good. Now I can crack on with getting the other little bits sorted out but anyone who is umming and aring about the MR200 kit, get it, it's simply superb.

Sort of wish I had gone down the Moutune route when I hear everyone say how good the MR200 is. Saying that more than happy with mine at 185. Cams put a huge smile on my face everyday:D

One of my sidelight bulbs has popped, they were a bit purpley blue and pretty dim so ideal time to finally change.

Whats good, LED, crisp white light around 6000k, not enormous so shall fit properly and mainly, reliable?

I hear cree ones are good? Do I need canbus friendly ones?

Every side light bulb I've bought have always had a blue tint to them. Then again I just buy the couple of quid ones from ebay.

On the look out for some coilovers and I was wondering what people's thoughts, recommendations and experiences are. I'm wanting them for day to day driving as well as the occasional track day. I've heard good things about AP and would consider buying second hand if the condition and price was right as I'm on a bit of a budget but could stretch that if it was worthwhile.

I have AP's. For a bit I decided I was done with bouncy motors and all that but all in all they are capable and compliant for coilovers. Yes it is kinda firm, it rides the road, but it never crashes in and out of bumps or feels unsettled on B roads. So I grew to live with it and like it again :) Sits nice too - not stupid low for me :)

You won't get better for 450 quid :)

Plain silver ST's look nice. One of my side stripes is peeling and have been tempted to go for the 'naked' look.

Have heard good things about AP and was offered some vmaxx for a good price but heard mixed reviews on them and they are a brand I've never heard of. My mate managed to get a second hand pair of AP's for £50 the jammy git.

Fixed a side-light bulb recently myself too, and picked up a new window motor just in time for the icy weather :D

When did you de-stripe Shaun? Thought you were mapped by Dreamscience and not Jamsport. I've got some jamsport stickers to put on from when I had the map done and I was going to put mine where yours are ha. Got some 300mm ones to put on somewhere too.

Fair enough. Your car so you can have whatever stickers you want on it, was just curious. Possibly, last year was a good day out. There's a Jamsport track day at Cadwell later this month that I'm tempted to go to too but just to watch. I want some coilies and my 300mm brake upgrade done before I go on track.

Should get yourself down, I didn't get much chance to talk to you last time because my car was up next on the rollers and I couldn't find you afterwards haha :D

Haha was quite a lot in attendance! We know what each other look like now so I'll keep an eye out for you if I do go. You going on the RR?
