Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I do feel that at 25 (26 in a month) I should probably have something a bit more grown up, but meh! I never got this kind of car out of my system, so I'm playing catch up :)

I am fully of the opinion that 'growing up' is for loosers. Whats wrong with owing something fun, no matter how old you are?

lol 25.

I'm 39 and have a Megane RS 250, and was carefully considering the virtues of the Clio RS 200 instead.

(OK, so I own a Grand Scenic too, but I have 4 kids to transport).

:)

My friends and I often joke about how chavvy the Clio appears.

But then, past the age of 18, you don't buy a Clio as a status symbol - you buy it to have some fun in :)

That is nice :)

My 51plate 172 has been falling apart lately, gearstick gator has come off and wont clip back in, headlight washers leaking so all my washer fluid is going and now both my window regulators have gone within a month :(

So my point of this post, im assuming this will fit my 2001 172? It shouldn't need any special version should it?

You can get new regulators from tehBay for not very much, and fitting them is quite straight-forward.

I think a Megane 250, and even a Clio 200 feels/looks a bit more grown up than a 172/182 though, maybe due to the size, in whicih case I am being retarded. haha.

I see Meg 250's & 200's every day at work :( having been for a spin in a friends Astra VXR I want something with 240bhp and a turbo and also a 6th gear.

Next car me thinks will be a 250, hopefully.

I also get to perve over GTR's but that will never happen! :D

Very tempted to go for a test drive in a 250, but I just know what would happen after that :p

A very slippery slope. One I'm not in a position to start my descent on!

Quite prepared to wait for prices to fall to those similar to the last model of the RS range. About 1/3rd of the cost and bagfulls more fun to be had with all the saving for mods whilst you wait :)

Go just for the fun, I found it torque steered a little more than I had expected though!

I find that it doesn't torque steer at all. Must have been a very inconsistent surface your drove over to get it to do that.

Or maybe I just don't drive quickly enough.

:(

I may do, the Renault garage here is amazingly good. Last time I went to check out the 200, he never forced anything on me throw me the keys with half a tank in it and said have fun!

Came back and told me to think about it and give him a phone call if I'm intrested!

So may go for another wee jolly.

Just had my air con re-gassed, turns out there was pretty much no gas in there! :p should have got it done ages ago. £49 though :(

Where was this? I rang my stealers last week who quoted me £69, last summer it was at £49. I don't fancy going to qwik fit as no doubt I'll find they do a crap job and put miles on my car in the process.

Bumpy roads and a loose hold on the wheel doesn't help much when giving it the beans :D makes it scarily exciting though!

:D

I took it to Kwik Fit (rather cautiously after reading many stories) and because I couldn't be bothered searching the Internet for other alternatives :p but they seem to have got it working again. It isn't as cold as I was expecting though :o

Hmmm, right now I'm not thaaat desperate. I imagine I could ask Renault if they will match kwik-fit.

Mine's not great but is still functional and noticable, definitely chilled when set 17/18 or 16/min. Room for improvement though. Might wait till it's a bit hotter...
