Who here owns a Renaultsport?

You need to up your budget, especially if you don't like Rainsports and you're planning on doing some track days.
I have Hankook V12s on all round at the mo and I'm not sure I'd want to do trackdays on those, they were around £65 each last year.

My 172 failed it's MOT today :-(

Front nearside recording little to no effort, offside parking brake recording little to no effort, and a load of brake imbalance failures due to this.

Going to remove and fully strip and rebuild all callipers tomorrow and put new renault handbrake cables on as I currently has ECP ones on and one is dead tight whilst the other quite slack. Also going to put new brake fluid in and check there is no pad glazing or disc contamination.

Hopefully this sorts it out and I can be on my way.

Started on the brakes today, got the offside off fine after a fight with the bleed nipple, got the nearside off easier but noticed that the bottom slider was completely seized in. Tried all sorts to try and free it up but it just snapped in the end.

Will now be needing a replacement nearside calliper and giving the offside a thorough cleaning and all should be fine.

I think it's nearly time for a new exhaust on the 182. I've currently got the standard one on there but it's starting to blow.
I don't want to pay for another OEM one so what do you guys recommend? I want something thats not too much louder than the standard exhaust so was thinking of an RS192.

These seem to take a while to get hold of though so is there anything similar out there?

Decided i can't live without the clio, so its getting stuck in the garage and i've just bought an MX5 :D

Soon....

I know that road well, and can't figure out how he's managed to crash there! I assume he's been in the wrong lane and tried to cut in as its one hell of a busy roundabout

Stumbled upon a bit of a bargain whilst fixing my seized brake calliper on Monday. I went to ECP to pick up a rebuilt calliper but when I got there saw that they don't come with the pad carrier (which is the bit I had with a seized and snapped slider!). Took a last minute trip to a local scrapyard and stumbled upon a BG 182 on 114k, and it had what looked like a pretty much brand new calliper on.

Took the calliper off and noticed the pads were pretty much brand new too so decided to take a quick look and they were DS2500's! Ran round to the other side to get a full set of pads and a N/S calliper, took them to the counter, £25!

Fitted the new hand brake cables last night (~£70 from Renault) so should be good to go for the retest on Saturday morning.]

Total cost to fix, £95, which I'm happy with considering I've got a pretty much brand new of DS2500's now too.
