Who here still buys/reads PC Gaming Magazines ?

Im still subscribed to pcgamer. Im not sure if its worth it anymore as i only read about 10-15 pages of it depending on what games they review.
I might jump ship and try out a different magazine, ill look into edge and gamesTM.

I've also started reading kindle gaming blogs, you have the likes of kotaku, joystiq and the escapist on there.

They cost £1.99 a month I believe and they usually update every day.

Back in the snes days mags and cheat code books were awesome :D

I tried PC Gamer 1-2 years ago and didn't bother re subbing, every article of worth I had already read or known about, the only thing the mag could offer was a printed community forum. I also lost interest in PC Gamer around the first Witcher release when they started to release bogus reviews.

Gaming journalism is a joke, frankly, it's a hack-amateur industry where half the so-called 'critics' are either on the payroll of the products they are 'reviewing' or are else generally inexperienced and inept. Out of all the creative industries and their attending 'criticism's, gaming is by far the worst. It's almost pathetic. I will never buy or support 'gaming journalism' - let alone criticism - in its current state. It sucks.
