I am.

working 12 days (12hour shifts) right through starting 23rd December including xmas day / boxing day, new years eve etc.

I'm not really a Christmas fan but it still seems wrong working xmas day lol.

I work in security.

anyone else working this Christmas and do you mind ?

Standby duties. There is a very strict list of responsibilities that fall to the standby engineer - we don't usually stick to them but Christmas is one time where I'll be sticking to them religiously to avoid unnecessary callouts.

Not sure which days I'll be working. We're closed on Christmas Day but I'm expecting to work pretty much every other day. I don't mind. Christmas is kind of a pain in the arse these days. I'll be glad when it's over.

Not this year but thats just how my shifts have fell, i think i've worked the last 5 or 6 though. Get £70 xmas payment plus double time plus hours worked back in lieu.

I was meant to be off but I am doing a colleague a favour so I am working both Christmas day and Boxing day. I am getting dinner at work so that is good and all I have to do at home is feed the cats as my Wife is at her Mums.
