Hi all just a little message to say how impressed i am with battlefield 3 on the new xbox 360 , just bought one today xbox 360 (250g)+ BF3+Forza 4 + 12 months Xbox live £229 wow. I was going to get a i5 pc and spend about £650 am i glad i didnt the xbox looks amazing on my 42" viera and you are connected in secconds no patching crap no getting kicked for not been the best player in the world just straight into imersive gameplay i spent about 5 mins just looking at how good the gfx are for a console .

so note to self you can have a top notch pc but if the games arent designed to the best no amount of money is going to make a poorly made game look good , and on the other hand a game designed to run on a machine that is identical in every component with every other player worldwide your end result is amazing gaming well done Dice and a wave bye bye to a over priced pc that may have a few pixels better but who cares when gaming is so intense

big thumbs up ;)

PC for multi-platform, consoles for exclusives, thanks.

My PC didn't cost the earth, but runs stuff like BF3, F1 2011 etc. way nicer than my 360 or PS3. Unfortunately you can't buy Forza 4 or Uncharted 3 on the PC :p

You trying to start a war lmao?

I switched from PC to xbox a few years back simply because of the cost, i've never looked back, the xbox is way better than i ever thought it could be, BUT, the pc input is and will be forever better than a pad (for fps at least) and with pc, it isn't the pixels that are important but the quality, PC will outclass the xbox on quality by a mile, but that is to be expected for the price differential.

Also, i doubt you kicked for not being good, and if you were it will be a select few servers with hitler-esque admins that just like to use their power from time to time, also the xbox does have patches, it's just it does them all for you, however from my experiance with recent pc games they've also started to patch for you if you let it.

There are pros and cons for both but in my opinion the console slightly outweighs the PC.

I had to patch my PS3 copy of BF3, I also kept getting DC'd randomly (this is fixed now it seems :)), it's crashed a couple of times and I had to reset the console, it also looks pretty terrible.

Still, this is the first FPS I've actually enjoyed on a console, and I've now spent about 28 hours playing online on the PS3 :).

no patching crap lol obviously never seen gt5 on the ps3 :)

every time i turn it on it fires an update my way

I played BF3 on the 360 today.....it's unplayable IMO.

It looks worse than all low settings on the PC and runs like crap.

I've always been a console gamer, and will always go back for the odd exclusive, like halo games on the 360 or zelda on the wii. But I'm thinking pc gaming's the way to go for the absolute best in graphics and online play.

'No patching crap' is correct if you own an Xbox 360, not if you own a PS3. :p

I have a pretty good PC, and I play it for the AAA first person shooter releases, like Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3. But for all other genres, I would use my Xbox or my Playstation. Games such as Batman: Arkham City, Forza 4, Saints Row: The Third, etc, are all enjoyed in my living room, on my TV. :D

I need a PC for gaming... :p

It's the same with any platform. I own a 360 for the exclusives, a PS3 for the exclusives and a PC for the exclusives.

If I didnt own all 3 I'd miss out somewhere. Even though some 360 games appear on PC, they dont all. And then there are games that come to PC that never go near console.

Also....Elderscroll's modding scene. That's a good reason to have a PC. :p
