WHS2011 Web Access BT Homehub 3.0

Just FYI, I see you fixed it, but port forwarding on the BT HH3 has been broken for some time and no fix has been issued.

I guess almost all who use that functionality would throw out or sell that PoC anyway.

Paradisiac, how the hell did you solve this?
I just got a home hub 3, and I have WHS 2011 running on my Microserver and I cannot for the life of me get it working!

Oh wait, saw your post about changing router

The HH3 doesn't support loopback (as stated by Bremen1874) which would be needed to make the remote web access wizard in WHS 2011 work successfully from its own broadband connection. Forwarding ports will make no difference.

Just go through the wizard accepting the fact that it will fail but complete it anyhow (choosing a domain address etc etc).

You will then be able to access via remote web access fine (ie. https://<your WHS 2011 domain name>.homeserver.com if your using the freebie MS provided service) from any other broadband connection, just not from the one WHS 2011 server is using with the HH3.

Hope that helps.

Edit - Bolded the https in the web address example for emphasis.
