Why are Dominos/Pizza Hut SO expensive?

£9.84 for 2 medium pizzas, one with 3 toppings, one with 5.

ZING!!

The Hut > Dominos

pizza hut isnt too bad if you catch it on the stuff your face deal. £3.99 for unlimited pizza is OK, but if you pay their normal prices its a rip off.

£7, large pizza at Dominas. Students eh? They maybe expensive (normal prices) but the pizza is so moreish. Everything is perfect about them. Fresh dough helps I guess.

Texas BBQ please.

Problem is that different Dominos have different offers.

Down here, I buy two small Pizzas for £6 which is roughly the same as one large one. Thats fine.

In Portsmouth at the weekend the only offer they had was buy one large, get one free. Not much use when you only want one.

On a recent night out, I stumbled into a late night pizza place and got a 15" pepperoni pizza for a tenner.

If I hadn't consumed 10 pints before hand, I might have actually been able to taste how bad it was.

drunk cheap pizza > *

The whole food service industry seems to be raising their prices, they certainly are round here.

It costs just as much to go to a pub restaurant and have something like a sirloin steak or the fish of the day as it is to order a pizza.

Is that a midweek special or applicable all the time?

got it on a sunday - BOBOHP...but the waitress wasn't too mathematically hot so i think she messed it up.

still....ZING!!

I used to work at Domino's and my manager said the prices were as they were because, "The customers are paying for a quality product and service."

They do make good pizza's though but I couldn't justify paying the full price though - I got a 50% discount. :D

There would be people I'd deliver to like every 3 days who'd spend about £13 each time on average. That's quite a bit I'd say. :)

The store I used to work at made a profit of £250,000 last year.

Forget Dominoes and Pizza Hut, best pizza place i have found recently, although they been here for a few yrs is Papa Johns pizza.

Definitely much much better and slightly cheaper imo than say the absolute rubbish that Pizza hut and Dominoes churn out tbh. Everytime i order from pizza hut i always always get a soggy pizza grrrrr  and Dominoes is just as bad if not worse....i always get a somewhat burnt pizza from them. im constantly amazed that they dont do anything about it, perhaps they dont like me or my address lol:p.

But seriously i havent had a dominoes or a pizza hut pizza for almost a yr now thanks to Papa Johns, their buffalo hot sauce is loverly especially with chicken dippers :D

tbh the pizza hut buffet at £3.99 (pizza only) & £5.49 (pizza & salad bar) is pretty good value imo.

cure your pizza cravings the cheap way! :)
