Why are people such theiving scum?

Some little scrote did our shed on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, took one cordless drill, left stacks of other power tools and a relatively expensive bike.

I mean what do you expect? Someone to hand it in to the police? How do even know they haven't done so.. (Highly unlikely I must admit) You should have secured it a bit better. No one else to blame other than yourself TBH. Can't blame someone for homing into a flashing beacon and not leaving it there for someone else to take !

Yup Croyden is a grade A cesspit.
We had to swap out a washing machine up at a flat there for work one day last year.
We got the old broken one out and behind the van whilst we took the new one upstairs, we where inside all of 2 mins, come outside and someone has nicked it!
Saved us taking it to teh tip though :)

Croydon = hell hole

15 years ago it used to be alright but it has just gradually got worse and worse.I wouldnt even go near the place anymore.

In the summer me and two mates were cycling near Split in Croatia. About half an hour in one of my mates flip flops broke so he stuck them on the rack at the back of the bike and borrowed my spare pair. The broken flip flops fell off the back of his bike after about 5 minutes so we stopped to go and get them. As we were cycling back to pick them up a guy in a pickup stopped, got out, threw them in the back of his truck and drove on past us.

Bizarre.

Croydon isn't as bad as round here. Believe it or not, they had away with three cars off my drive within a 5 year period some years ago. They tried it again a fourth time but luckily I was lying awake, went out and chased the *****.

There was a big spate of this at the time though. Apparently the police said they all came down from Sunderland.

ye.. i leave my bmx locked in a college "bike park" and some girl basically said a group of people are planning to steal it.. but they don't know how to break the lock.. :/ seriously.. i don't get the mentality behind this.. its not YOURS WHO GAVE YOU A RIGHT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING IT.. :/

Its like this in most places. I think 80% of people who found something other than a bankcard (or something else that can be cancelled/is useless) then they would keep it. Lost many cameras, phones etc

A couple of weeks ago I was walking a girl home and she left handher bag on a step. She remembered and we went back to get it after a couple of minutes and it had gone. Bank cards, iphone, purse with money it... We walked back, her ready to cancel cards and phone and found it on a path. Purse was there minus money still with bank cards, no iphone, no camera and other stuff like makeup was in there. Lucking the phone was insured so not much lost
