Why do Graphics card prices in UK suck so bad?

The average salary in the US is $41673 or neatly converted into £26,000.....the average wage in the Uk is £26,400.....allthough if you live down south or in/around London thats considered a low wage and is more like £40,000+ average.

Average US Salary in terms of GDP per capita (at purchasing power parity) for 2011 was $48,147 whilst in Britain where things are bloody more expensive it was $35,974 and yes that includes inner city new york and the bits of London full of Russian 'businessmen'.

Just Tax in America is different... They pay more income tax where we pay less but more fuel tax and have things like VAT.

But the simple fact is the uk has become a refugee camp along with more and more people using their child as an income.

This will never change as the EU has more control than the PM which is why we cant lay down any laws.

The country is one big joke. But so are the people who live in it voting for people like nick clegg

Average salary has little to do with GDP.

Anyway, I'm off to Florida in about six weeks and I will definately be having a look at graphics card prices when there with a view to bringing something back. About three years ago I bought a motherboard, cpu, memory and a graphics card in Miami and got through customs no probs, saved a fair few quid. :D

Not true we pay far less income tax in the US than I ever did in the UK - all things considered.

The main difference in terms of income seems to me that I can buy a nice 4 bedroom detached house with a garage around here (nice area) for just under £100,000. Compare that to when I lived in Cambridge where the same deal would've cost me £400,000 easily, and you can see why people have more disposable income.
