I'm running Soundblaster X Fi Fatality Gamer in my rig. I've got a 360 plugged into one of the inputs and a speaker system plugged into the output.
However, quite frequently, I boot the machine up and I can't hear a single thing from the speakers, both on the 360 and in Windows.
The workaround I've found is to go into Creative Control Panel and reset to defaults. Then sound comes back on.
However, this can happen again once I restart the machine.
No idea what is causing it, and considering getting a Xonar d2X, but the only way I can fit it in a P5Q deluxe is to move the memory over and into single channel mode. Do you think this would make much of a difference to performance / overclocking stability?
